Week 9 Picks: Michigan-Michigan State, NC State-Clemson Lead the Lineup

Six members of the Congrove Computer Rankings' top 25 are idle this week, but a trio of battles among higher-ranked teams are in the offering.

The idle squads include some of last week's upset losers - Georgia, Miami and West Virginia. Notre Dame, Texas and Florida join them.

Based on tradition, the top marquee matchup is 5th-ranked Michigan at 15th-ranked Michigan State. However, the N.C. State-Clemson is now a 9 vs. 3 matchup, according to the computer.

We also get 8th-ranked LSU at No. 18 Mississippi State. The Tigers are facing a top 25 team for the 3rd straight week, while the Bulldogs are doing so for the fourth week-in-a-row.
