The Congrove Computer Rankings at CollegeFootballPoll.com are predicting a whopping 9 outright upsets this week, including 3 games with a double-digit swing from the Vegas line.

The game with the largest disagreement between the Vegas spread and the computer forecast is USF at Navy. The oddsmakers have the Midshipmen favored by 13 while the computer takes the Bulls by 4.29 for a swing of 17.29 points.

On Friday night, Pittsburgh is installed as a 3-point road favorite over Syracuse, but the computer gives the homestanding Orange an 8.26-point advantage for a difference of 11.26 points.

Hawaii on Saturday is a 3-point underdog on its own turf against Air Force, while the computer takes the Warriors by 7.76 for a swing of 10.76.

The college football week begins Wednesday with a Sun Belt matchup as South Alabama travels from Mobile to Troy in the "Battle for the Belt". The two schools are just 166 miles apart in southern Alabama. The rivalry began with South Alabama's admittance to the Sun Belt in 2012. The Trojans lead the series 4 games to 3.

A double-header on Thursday starts with another Sun Belt game as Louisiana travels to Arkansas State before we head out west for a PAC-12 battle on "The Farm" between Stanford and UCLA.

Friday night is unusually busy with 4 games on the docket. The feature game that night sends the computer's No. 1 team, Ohio State, to Evanston to take on a reeling Northwestern team that is off to a woeful 0-3 start in the Big Ten.

The PAC-12 has two games on Saturday that feature all four schools that are currently tied for the South division lead as Utah hosts Arizona State, and USC hosts Arizona.

The SEC has Florida traveling to South Carolina where the Gamecocks will try to sweep Georgia and Florida for the first time since 2014.

Big 12 battles include Baylor at Oklahoma State, and Iowa State at Texas Tech.

Saturday's Big Ten schedule features Michigan at Penn State.
