The week 4 picks from the Congrove Computer Rankings are now available, but a better question other than who's beating who might be how many games are going to be canceled.
Miami at Florida State has already been moved to October 7, thanks to a mutual open date. Miami also had to move its Thursday, October 12 game at home versus Georgia Tech to Saturday, October 14 to avoid a 5-day turnaround on games.
We would be shocked if other cancellations aren't announced early this week as Florida has sustained heavy damage from Hurricane Irma. Our list of those games that are highly in doubt include Tennessee at Florida, Illinois at USF, Georgia Tech at UCF, and Bethune-Cookman at FAU,
Additionally, FIU at Indiana could have a logistics problem. The Panthers already had to move this past weekend's scheduled home game with Alcorn State to Birmingham. Georgia Southern did the same thing with its game versus New Hampshire, but the Eagles are idle this week.
Other communities in the deep south and mid-Atlantic region could also suffer infrastructure problems which could render it unsafe, if not impossible, to host a football game. Check back frequently for updates on cancellations and postponements.
For now, check out the computer's pick of every game here.
