Based on the Congrove Computer Rankings, we present a projected winner for every game on this week's schedule involving a FBS team.
Six weeknight games preclude a hefty Saturday schedule as all but 8 FBS teams see action this week.
A MAC double-header kicks it all off on Tuesday night, followed by 2 more MAC games on Wednesday. Thursday's focus is on the ACC as N.C. State visits Georgia Tech. Friday night, we move out west for Colorado State at Fresno State.
Only two teams in the FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll face each other this week, but they do so in what may as well be called the Big Ten East division championship game. The Penn State-Ohio State showdown takes place in Columbus this year with the 9th-ranked Nittany Lions (9-1, 6-1) looking for just their second win over the Buckeyes (10-0, 7-0) in the last 8 tries.
Other games to watch include Utah at Arizona, Oregon at Arizona State, Texas A&M at Georgia, TCU at Oklahoma, Minnesota at Northwestern, Michigan at Indiana, Texas at Baylor, Purdue at Wisconsin, and Boston College at Notre Dame.
Some of the top games in the Group of Five conferences include an American conference west division showdown in Annapolis where Navy hosts SMU on Saturday. Boise State heads to Utah State, Cincinnati hosts Temple, Louisiana Tech visits UAB, Georgia Southern heads to Arkansas State, FAU travels a few minutes south from Boca Raton to Miami to face FIU, Troy visits Louisiana, and Memphis journeys to USF.
