Maxwell Football Club Executive Director Mark Wolpert announced the 2022 finalists for the 86th Maxwell Award for the Collegiate Player of the Year and the 28th Chuck Bednarik Award for the Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year.
The respective lists include a field of candidates for each of these awards as determined by the semifinalist voting process which ended Nov. 27.
All finalists are listed in alphabetical order by player's school with position and class designated.

Last season, the Maxwell Award went to Alabama quarterback Bryce Young and the Chuck Bednarik Award was presented to Georgia defensive tackle Jordan Davis.
The winners of the 86thMaxwell Award and the 28th Chuck Bednarik Award will be announced as part of the Home Depot College Football Awards Show live on ESPN on December 8, 2022.
Voting for both of the collegiate awards presented by the Maxwell Football Club will begin on Tuesday November 29 and close on Sunday December 4, 2022. Eligible voters include Maxwell Football Club members, NCAA Head Football Coaches, Sports Information Directors and selected national media.
