Now that College Football has returned (somewhat) safely during the global pandemic caused by Covid-19, football punters can be assured that they will still be able to gamble on their favorite teams. Many football punters have been using the Unibet offer to claim some of the best football welcome bonuses on the gambling market, alongside fast withdrawals on all wins and unbeaten odds throughout.
It would be bold to claim any list is the definitive list, but this one isn't bad. And yes, we know there are plenty others that could have been highlighted as well.
This team shut out 5 opponents and no team scored more than 13 points against them. We're talking about the 1945 Army Black Knights. They conquered 4 teams in the top nine, including two different No. 2-ranked teams in a 3-game span. The squad featured "Mr. Inside" Doc Blanchard and "Mr. Outside" Glenn Davis. In a 9-game season, Blanchard amassed 16 touchdowns on his way to capturing the Heisman Trophy.
A couple years later, we experienced another great team - The 1947 Notre Dame Fighting Irish who also produced the perfect season of finishing it unbeaten with a 9-0 record. While the Army Black Knights were defensively impressive in 1945, the Fighting Irish took this to the next level in 1947 when they only conceded 52 points all season.
Fast-forward to 1994 when the undefeated Penn State Nittany Lions only finished 2nd in the AP Poll, behind a similarly undefeated Nebraska team. But it was Penn State that year that led the nation in scoring at 47 points per game behind Quarterback Kerry Collins and running back Ki-Jana Carter. They also went on to defeat four Top 25 teams and finished 12-0.
The most recent team in which we believe is one of the best of all time was back in 2013 when the Florida State Seminoles also went on to deliver a perfect record of 12-0. They smashed everyone in their path in the regular season by at least 27 points to advance to the National Championship game where they defeated No. 2 Auburn 34-31.
