Georgia stays at the top, but Texas kicks Michigan out of second in the Super 16 Poll released Sunday. Five different teams picked up at least a pair of first-place votes from the 57-member panel who are members of the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) or college football hall-of-famers.

The 'Dawgs were at the top of 46 ballots, followed the Wolverines and Florida State with 4 apiece. Washington picked up two 1st-palce votes and Texas garnered one.

Somehow, Florida State slipped from 4th to 5th after winning at Clemson.

Ohio State moved up from 6th to 4th with the victory at Notre Dame, and USC plummeted from 5th to 8th in spite of a 14-point win at Arizona State.

Texas's No.2 rankings is their highest-ever in the Super 16 Poll, and the highest ranking held by a Big 12 school since Oklahoma claimed that spot on December 3, 2017.

Colorado and Oregon State dropped out of the poll completely after suffering losses on the road in Week 4. North Carolina and Duke joined the poll after dominant victories on the road, claiming the Nos. 15 and 16, respectively. Duke's Super 16 appearance marks the first ever for the Blue Devils.

The Pac-12 led all conferences with four teams, followed by the Big Ten, ACC and SEC with three each, the Big 12 with two and FBS Independents with one.

The voting members include CollegeFootballPoll.com's Dave Congrove who is one of the four that put the Seminoles in the top spot on his ballot. His top 4 were the same as a week ago with Georgia in 2nd, followed by USC and Texas. He dropped Notre Dame from 4th to 11th. Michigan claimed 5th-place on his ballot, followed by Washington, Ohio State, Utah, Penn State and Alabama to round out his top ten. Ole Miss was moved down from 8th to 12th, just ahead of Oregon, Duke, Tennessee and LSU. He dropped Colorado and gave LSU a return appearance.
