Georgia picked up 45-of-52 first-place votes to remain No. 1 for the eighth consecutive week after defeating Georgia Tech, 37-14, in Week 13.
Ohio State fell from 2nd to 5th after the 45-23 loss at home to Michigan. The Wolverines inched upward from 3rd to 2nd.
TCU moved up one spot to No. 3 after its 62-14 victory over Iowa State, marking the highest ranking for the Horned Frogs since claiming the No. 3 spot on Nov. 1, 2015. USC's No. 4 ranking marks the highest spot for the Trojans since being No. 4 on Aug. 22, 2017.
Alabama climbed from 8th to 6th, Penn State catapulted from 11th to 7th while Tennessee moved up from 9th to 8th and Washington rose from 12th to 9th.
Clemson rounds out the top ten after slipping 3 spots from 7th a week ago.
LSU plummeted from 6th to 13th on the heels of a 38-23 loss at Texas A&M.
Oregon dropped from 10th to 15th as a result of its 38-34 loss at Oregon State.
Notre Dame dropped out of the poll completely after its loss to USC in Los Angeles. Florida State landed at No. 14, joining the poll for the first time since a No. 11 ranking on Sept. 17, 2017.
The Pac-12 led all conferences with five teams, followed by the SEC with four, the Big Ten with three, and the Big 12 and ACC with two each.
A panel of 52 FWAA writers and College Football Hall of Famers vote in the poll. Voters were selected to create a balanced geographical perspective and include CollegeFootballPoll.com's Dave Congrove.
Congrove submitted a ballot that had Georgia, Michigan, TCU and Ohio State as the top four with USC 5th and Alabama 6th. The rest of his top ten was Tennessee, Clemson, Penn State and Washington. After that, he had Utah 11th with Kansas State 12th and Flroida State 13th. He gavea the final three spots to LSU, Oregon and UCLA.
Congrove dropped North Carolina (was 14) and re-inserted UCLA.
