Oregon picked up 52 of 54 first-place votes and remained No. 1 for the fifth consecutive week after a 16-13 win at Wisconsin.
Ohio State was at the top of the ballots submitted by Dan Sileo and Collin Wilson. Sileo hosts "The National Football Show" on the JAKIB Sports YouTube channel, and Wilson is a senior writer at Action Network and host of "Big Bets on Campus".
The Ducks are the first team outside of the SEC since Clemson in 2019 to hold the No. 1 spot in the poll for five consecutive weeks.
The Nos. 2 through 4 spots remain unchanged after Week 12.
Tennessee fell six slots to No. 11 after suffering a 31-17 loss at Georgia. The Bulldogs moved up 3 spots to No. 8.
BYU dropped seven spots to No. 14 after a 17-13 loss at home to Kansas.
Clemson was edged out of the poll, despite a 24-20 victory at Pittsburgh in Week 12. The Tigers received 14 fewer total points than Colorado which joined the poll after defeating Utah 49-24 at home. The No. 16 ranking for Colorado marks the first appearance in the poll for the Buffaloes since claiming the No. 15 spot on September 17, 2023.
The SEC leads all conferences with six teams. The Big Ten has four, followed by the ACC and Big 12 with two each. The Mountain West Conference and FBS Independents have one each.
Voters in the Super 16 Poll consist of FWAA writers and members of the College Football Hall of Fame who were selected to create a geographically balanced perspective.
CollegeFootballPoll.com's Dave Congrove has been on the voting panel since the September 24, 2017 poll. He is one of the 52 voters who put Oregon at No. 1.
His top 5 is unchanged from last week. The biggest differences week-over-week are Tennessee dropping from 6 to 11, and BYU 7 to 12. He also replaced Army with Colorado at No. 15.
