USC scored late to upend LSU, Georgia blitzed Clemson, and Texas looked solid at home over Colorado State. Those are a few of the results from opening weekend that shaped this week's US LBM Coaches' Poll from the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).

Elsewhere, Notre Dame scored the final 10 points of the game at Texas A&M for a 23-13 win, while Oregon failed to impress in a 24-14 victory over FCS member Idaho that caused the Ducks to drop 3 spots in this week's polling. The next three teams behind them in the preseason poll - Texas, Alabama and Ole Miss - all moved up a spot.

Georgia still rules the roost while USC made the poll's biggest jump from 23 to 14.

Florida State and Texas A&M exited the poll and were replaced by Louisville and Washington. The 'Noles and Aggies had been ranked 10 and 20, respectively. The Cards and Huskies are now Nos. 24 and 25.
