The new Congrove Computer Rankings, updated immediately after the final weekend game concluded, have Ohio State taking the top spot away from LSU. The Baton Rouge Tigers fall to 2nd while the Clemson Tigers stay at 3 and Georgia remains at 4. Alabama rose to 5th.
Ohio State was a 51-10 winner at Indiana while LSU routed FCS member Northwestern State 65-14. Meanwhile, Clemson was a 41-6 victor at Syracuse, Georgia blanked Arkansas State 55-0 in Athens, and Alabama rolled 47-23 at South Carolina.
Idle Michigan slips from 5th to 6th.
The rest of the top ten still has Notre Dame at 7, followed by Oklahoma (up from 10), Auburn (down from 8) and Wisconsin (up from 10).
Michigan State, which was 9th a week ago, slides to 17th after the loss at home to Arizona State.
Iowa State, Mississippi State and Kentucky dropped out of the Top 25, clearing the way for Arizona State, Missouri and Texas to become the new entrants.
