The Congrove Computer Rankings released the projected final regular season rankings on Tuesday with Michigan State topping the chart. Oklahoma, Clemson, Washington and Miami (FLA) fill out the top 5.
The computer has Michigan State defeating Northwestern for the Big Ten title; Oklahoma over TCU in the Big 12, Clemson over Miami in the ACC, USC over Washington in the PAC-12, and Alabama over South Carolina in the SEC.
Ultimately, it picks the Spartans to win the title by knocking off USC in the semis, then Oklahoma in the championship game.
Oklahoma is projected as a 2-seed winner over 3-seed Clemson in the other semifinal contest.
Alabama would be the first team out with a projected season-ending loss at home to Auburn. USC, after winning the PAC-12 title game, would be on an 11-game winning streak come selection Sunday.
More details on all the conference races are available in CollegeFootballPoll.com's Season Preview.
