We will enter this weekend of Major League Baseball action with roughly 35 games left to play in the season which wraps up on September 29.

Jim Sannes breaks down Wednesday's MLB slate, discussing his top player props at FanDuel Sportsbook and the core DFS plays of the night on The Solo Shot at FanDuel.com.

The New York Yankees will look to regroup after dropping two to the Detroit Tigers, including a 3-2 walk-off in the Sunday night Little League Classic in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. They then dropped a third straight game by bowing 9-5 at home to the Cleveland Guardians last night in a 12-inning affair that saw the visitors outscore the home team 6-2 in the 12th inning. That series continues tonight and tomorrow before the Rockies come to the Bronx for a 3-game set this Friday-Sunday. The mini slump has put the Yanks a half-game behind the Orioles as the two continue to battle for the AL East lead.

The Detroit News proudly boasted, "Parker Meadows set off fireworks with a 10th-inning single that brought hundreds of Little Leaguers to their feet and scored Zach McKinstry on a headfirst slide."

According to MLB.com, the Seattle Mariners and New York Mets will compete in the Little League Classic next year and serve as a home contest for the Mets. The brilliant idea of bringing a Major League game to Williamsport began in 2017 when Pittsburgh faced St. Louis.

The game begins with the best 'first pitch" in baseball as one player from every Little League team lines up to relay the ball to home plate.
