Final College Football Playoff Committee Rankings - Alabama No. 1

Alabama's 41-24 win over Georgia, the team the committee had placed at No. 1 since its first rankings were released on October 2, propelled the Tide into the top spot of the final College Football Playoff Committee Rankings. Michigan, Alabama and Cincinnati complete the top four.

Notre Dame was the first team out and Ohio State was 6th.

The College Football Playoff matches the No. 1 ranked team vs. No. 4, and No. 2 vs. No. 3 in semifinal games that rotate annually among six bowl games – the Cotton, Fiesta, Peach, Orange Bowl, Sugar and Rose. This season's Playoff Semifinals will take place Friday, December 31, 2021, at the Cotton and Orange Bowls. The College Football Playoff National Championship will be Monday, January 10, 2022, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
