Feature Picks for Opening Week

We've hand-selected 10 games for this week's Feature Pick categories of Easy Pickins and Hold Your Horses, while the computer has 6 outright upsets projected against the spread.

Our Feature Picks compare the sportsbooks' average spread with the computer's projection, and feature those games where we believe the computer has the best chance of being right.

For instance, one of this week's games in the Easy Pickins category is the Labor Day matchup of Notre Dame at Louisville. The sportsbooks list the Irish as a 20-point favorite, but the computer picks the Irish to beat the spread as it gives Notre Dame a 23.27-point advantage.

The 'Hold Your Horses' category includes an opening day game to be played this Saturday (August 24). Arizona is an 11-point  favorite at Hawaii, but the computer has the Warriors as only a 7.79-point underdog.

When it comes to the Upset picks, we list every game that the computer picks the opposite team of the 'Vegas' favorite. The computer's upset picks have hit 70% against the spread (80-35) since the second week of November of 2017.
