There's a a shake-up in the rankings after PAC-12 contender UCLA and Oregon falter, but Ohio State remains safe at the top. The latest Congrove Computer Rankings (CCR Top 131) at CollegeFootballPoll.com were released within minutes of the completion of the weekend's final game in Hawaii.
Ohio State, which romped to a 56-14 win over Indiana in Columbus, has been ranked No. 1 since the preseason. At various times, the No. 2 spot has been occupied by either Alabama, Georgia or Michigan. This week, the Bulldogs slip back ahead of the Wolverines after a 45-19 win at Mississippi State. Michigan was a 34-3 winner at home over Nebraska.
There is also a change at the No. 4 spot as Tennessee slightly outpoints TCU. The Vols blew past Missouri 66-24 in Knoxville while the Horned Frogs were 17-10 winners at Texas.
Oregon, which was last week's 6th-place team, drops to 10th after the 37-34 upset loss at home To Washington. The Huskies soar from 33 to 21.
Clemson moves back up from 8th to 6th while Alabama stays put at No. 7. The Tigers were 31-16 victors at Louisville while the Tide rallied for a 30-24 win at Ole Miss. The Rebels fall from 9th to 13th with the loss.
North Carolina rises to 8th and Utah takes 9th.
