Ole Miss used a dominant defense and the leg of Caden Davis to beat then-No. 2 Georgia, 28-10. The Rebels defense recorded five sacks, five pass breakups, four forced fumbles and four quarterback hurries while senior kicker Caden Davis added five field goals. The win moved Ole Miss to No. 11 in this week’s US LBM Coaches Poll while the Bulldogs dropped to No. 10.
Oregon still sits No. 1 with Ohio State, Texas, Tennessee and Penn State rounding out the top five. Indiana jumped to No. 6. The Hoosiers are 10-0 for the first time in program history after beating Michigan, 20-15, a team they have only beaten three times since 1966.
