You can find daily MLB Best Bets at FanDuel.com. On the National League side, one of those best bets should almost surely be the Arizona Diamondbacks who are 15-3 in their last 18 games. The Snakes stay home for 3 against the Rockies starting tonight at 6:40 local time and, naturally, Arizona (-1.5) is favored to win that game.
Ironically, the Rockies and Marlins, who entered the MLB together in 1993, are tied at 44-75 as they have two of the three-worst MLB records this season. Only the White Sox are less dangerous at a pathetic 28-91.
Philadelphia (East) and Milwaukee (Central) have 7.5-game leads in their respective divisions, while the Dodgers are just 3.5 up on the surging Diamondbacks.
The Phillies are just 4-10 in their last 14 games. The Dodgers swept the Pirates at home after losing 2-of-3 in to Philadelphia in those same friendly confines at Chavez Ravine.
Milwaukee had a 5-game winning streak snapped on Sunday with a 4-3 loss at home to the Reds. The Brew Crew are 2-3 in their last five at home, but 8-3 in the last 11 road games.
In the junior circuit, the Orioles and Yankees start the week all tied up in the AL East, while Houston has caught the Mariners in the AL West. In the heartland, Cleveland's lead has shrunk to 3.5 over the Twins.
This past weekend, Baltimore took 2-of-3 at Tampa Bay while the Yankees did the same at home over the Rangers.
Houston had a 3-game sweep at Boston, and the Mariners destroyed the Mets in Seattle with scores of 6-0, 4-0 and 12-1.
The Guardians dropped the first two at the Twins in a Friday doubleheader, but battle back to take the Saturday and Sunday games for a 2-2 split. But Cleveland was swept at home by Arizona earlier last week while Minnesota was taking just 1 of-3 at the Cubbies.
Cleveland starts a home series against the Cubs tonight with Ben Lively going against Shota Imanaga who is 9-2 on the season for a club that's 59-60 overall.
The Orioles get the Nats at home for a pair starting Tuesday as the Yankees start a 3-game series at White Sox today.
The Astros are in Tampa starting tonight, while the Mariners play 3 at Detroit Tuesday-Thursday.
