USC holds onto the top spot in the latest edition of the Congrove Computer Rankings, released just after the conclusion of the Ole Miss-Louisville game on Monday night which the Rebels won 43-24.
Texas A&M rises from 6th to 2nd after an easy win over Kent State, and Iowa State rises one spot to 3rd, even though the Cyclones only dismissed FCS member Northern Iowa by a 16-10 count.
Oklahoma, which had to repel a second half Tulane comeback for a 40-35 victory, jumps from 7th 4th,
Alabama jumps from 8th to 5th on the heels of a 44-13 beatdown of Miami.
Utah, Iowa, Texas, Oregon and Oklahoma State round out the top ten. The Utes were 33-10 winners over FCS member Weber State, the Hawkeyes crushed then-No. 2 Indiana 34-6, the Longhorns defeated Louisiana 38-18, the Ducks fought off Fresno State 31-24, and the Cowboys beat FCS member Missouri State 23-16.
Among the big losers, Indiana which fell 11 spots to 13th, Wisconsin plummeted from 3rd to 15th after the 16-10 home loss to Penn State, Miami crashed from 5th to 18th, Clemson freefell from 9th to 22nd, and North Carolina descended from 14th to 28th.
