Clemson Moves to No. 2 In CCR Top 130

Ohio State retains the top spot, but Clemson squeezes past LSU to take 2nd in the latest Congrove Computer Rankings (CCR Top130) released within minutes of the weekend's final game, USC's 41-17 win at California.

Last week, the Buckeyes had a lead of 9.42 power points over LSU. That lead is now 6.96 points over Clemson. and 8.1 points over the Tigers.

Alabama rounds out the current top four.

Georgia, which clinched the SEC East on Saturday with a 21-14 win at Auburn, actually drops a notch to 5th. Oregon remains 6th.

Utah leaps from 10th to 7th, followed by Penn State, Oklahoma and Michigan.

Minnesota fell from 7th to 11th after a 23-19 loss at Iowa. And Baylor slid from 11th to 15th on the heels of a 34-31 loss to Oklahoma.

Florida, Wisconsin and Notre Dame fill the 12, 13 and 14 holes.

The computer's top 25 is still dominated by the Big Ten with 7 schools among the top 24. The SEC has 6 schools among the top 21, with 3 of those in the top 5. The rest of the top 25 is comprised of 3 schools from the American conference, 2 schools each from the Big 12, PAC-12 and Sun Belt, and 1 school apiece from the Independents, Mountain West and ACC.

UMass (1-10) is the best of the worst for the 10th time this season. The Minutemen were 45-6 losers at Northwestern.
