The weekly FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll, voted on by a panel of football writers and college football Hall Of Fame members, was released Monday morning and Alabama holds firm in the top spot while Georgia, Ohio State and Clemson remain at Nos. 2 through 4.
The Tide received 49 of the 51 possible first-place ballots as Georgia continued to garner a single top vote and Notre Dame collected its first No. 1 vote.
The Irish moved up from 7th to 5th after the win at Virginia Tech.
West Virginia climbed to No. 6 after LSU fell at Florida and Oklahoma lost to Texas in Dallas. LSU dropped to 12th and Oklahoma slid to No.11.
With a fifth straight victory, Texas made a big move from outside the poll to No. 9. Auburn was in the 9-slot last week, but fell completely out of the poll after losing to Mississippi State.
Stanford and Kentucky also tumbled out of the Top 16 after their losses to Florida and Miami (Fla,), respectively. The Gators and 'Canes enter the poll at 12th and 15th.
The SEC and Big Ten led all conferences with four teams each. The Big 12 had three teams and the ACC two. The American, Pac 12 and Independents had one team each. maintaining the lead over Georgia with 49 first-place votes. Two other SEC teams - Georgia and LSU - each garnered a single first-place vote.
Missouri at No. 1 Alabama; No. 2 Georgia at No. 13 LSU; Minnesota at No. 3 Ohio State; Pittsburgh at No. 5 Notre Dame; No. 6 West Virginia at Iowa State; Michigan State at No. 7 Penn State; No. 8 Washington at Oregon; No. 10 UCF at Memphis; No. 15 Wisconsin at No. 12 Michigan; No. 14 Florida at Vanderbilt; No. 16 Miami (Fla.) at Virginia.

The poll was established at the conclusion of the 2013 season by long-time partners, the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and the National Football Foundation (NFF). Voters rank the top 16 teams in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision, and the results will be released every Monday of the 2018 season; the individual votes of all members will also be made public. The pollsters consist of FWAA writers and College Football Hall of Famers who were selected to create a balanced-geographical perspective.
