NOTE: CollegeFootballPoll.com's Dave Congrove is among the voters.
The weekly FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll, voted on by a panel of football writers and college football Hall Of Fame members, was released Monday morning and has Alabama solidifying its' lead over the rest of the field. The Crimson Tide received all but 1 of the 51 of the available first-place votes and that went to Notre Dame.
Georgia's loss to LSU knocked the Bulldogs down from 2nd to 8th while the Bayou Bengals rose from 13th to 5th. Ohio State, Clemson and Notre Dame each moved up one spot to take the 2nd through 4th positions.
Three more casualties among the top ten teams occurred with those squads which were ranked 6th, 7th and 8th. West Virginia dropped to 13th after losing at Iowa State, Washington descended to 15th after coming up short at Oregon, and Penn State fell completely out of the poll after the loss to Michigan State.
The SEC led all conferences with five teams. The Big 12 followed with three teams. The ACC, Big Ten and Pac-12 had two each. The American Athletic and Independents had one each.
No. 1 Alabama at Tennessee; No. 2 Ohio State at Purdue; No. 3 Clemson at No. 16 North Carolina State; No.4 Notre Dame vs, Navy (San Diego); Mississippi State at No. 5 LSU; No. 6 Michigan at Michigan State; No. 9 Oklahoma at TCU; No. 10 UCF at East Carolina; No. 12 Oregon at Washington State; Vanderbilt at No. 14 Kentucky; Colorado at No. 15 Washington.

Voters rank the top 16 teams in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision, and the results will be released every Monday of the 2018 season; the individual votes of all members will also be made public. The pollsters consist of FWAA writers and College Football Hall of Famers who were selected to create a balanced-geographical perspective.
