Oregon outscored Ohio State 10-3 in the fourth quarter to win their top 3 showdown, 32-31, lifting the Ducks from No. 3 to No. 2. Texas remains No. 1 after a 34-3 demolition of Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry at the Texas State Fairgrounds in Dallas.
Texas was listed at No. 1 on 52 of the 54 ballots while Oregon picked up two first-place votes.
The Buckeyes, who were ranked 2nd, are shockingly kicked down to No. 5 and now trail Penn State and Georgia, in additon to the Longhorns and Bulldogs.
Oregon came from behind twice in the final quarter, winning the game on a 19-yard field goal with 1:47 left to go in the game.
Georgia's 41-31 home win over Mississippi State apparently didn't impressive the voters and resulted in the 'Dawgs staying at No. 4, while Penn State rallied for a thrilling 33-30 OT win at USC and jumps Georgia for the No. 3 spot.
Miami (FL) and Alabama stay at Nos. 6 and 7, respectively.
