AFCA Coaches' Poll: Top 4 Unchanged as Georgia Maintains Dominant Lead

October 15, 2023 by CollegeFootballPoll.com Staff and AFCA.com

After Oregon failed on a fourth down attempt to run out the clock, it only took Washington two plays and 33 seconds to score the winning touchdown with 1:38 to play. The Ducks got the ball back and drove into field goal range, but their attempt failed as time ran out and the Huskies won, 36-33.

The win moved Washington up one spot to No. 5 in this week’s US LBM Coaches Poll while the loss dropped Oregon to No. 11.

The poll is sponsored by US LBM, which is the largest privately owned, full-line distributor of specialty building materials in the United States.

Georgia remains No. 1 with 58 of the 64 possible first-place votes while Michigan picked up 4. Ohio State and Oklahoma each received a single first-place vote.
