AFCA Coaches' Poll: Texas Takes Over Top Spot As 'Bama Rises To No. 2

Alabama built a 30-7 halftime lead in their top five showdown against Georgia, but the Bulldogs roared back in the second half, scoring 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to take a 34-33 lead with 2:31 left to go in the game. Thirteen seconds later, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe hit Ryan Williams for a 75-yard touchdown pass and the Crimson Tide held on for a 41-34 victory.

With the win, Alabama moves up to No. 2 in this week’s US LBM Coaches Poll while Georgia drops to No. 5. Texas now holds the top spot with 29 first place votes. Ohio State and Tennessee round out the top five.
