The Friars are 9-3 out of the gate and trying to keep a hold of first place in the NL West as they are currently a half-game sharper than the Giants and Dodgers. The Tigers now go into this game leading the AL Central by a game over the Royals while the Yankees (6-5) are a half-game behind the Blue Jays (7-5) and a half-game clear of the Red Sox (6-6) in the AL East. Today's lowest single-player home run odds go to Aaron Judge (+235). No surprise there> He already has 6 through 11 games, but 3 of those came in the second game of the opening series against the Brewers. Still, he historically averages a home run for every 11.2 at bats.
Miami (5-6) will give Max Meyer the start. The righty enters with a 0-1 record and a 3.09 ERA. The Marlins will be swinging against RHP Tyler Megill for the Mets. Megill is 2-0 with a 0.87 ERA.
