2025 MLB Home Run Prop Action For Apil 9, 2025

April 9, 2025 by CollegeFootballPoll.com Staff

Do you have a feeling about a particular player hitting one out of the park today? It will surely happen -- most likely multiple times -- and the odds are available for practically every player.

The odds quoted here are as of 8:00 a.m. today, Wednesday, April 9, and are Today's Home Run Prop Bets from FanDuel.com. All times listed are eastern time.

Today's first game first pitch goes to the Pittsburgh Pirates (4-8) hosting the St. Louis Cardinals (5-6). Game 3 today is a rubber match with a 12:35 start. Erick Fedde (StL) will be throwing for the Cards while Mitch Keller gets the start for the Pirates. Both pitchers are 1-1 with ERA of 7.00 and up. The Cardinals (-1.5) are the favorite to get the victory and capture the series. Brendan Donovan of the Cards, along with a handful of others from both teams, are +1000 to go yard.

It will be 12:35 local time, but 3:35 p.m. eastern time, when the Athletics (5-7) try to take the series at home over the San Diego Padres after capturing yesterday's game, 10-4. The Athletics have taken up home game residency at Sutter Health Park, which serves as the home stadium of the Triple-A Sacramento River Cats. The River Cats are affiliated with the San Francisco Giants. The Friars are 9-3 out of the gate and trying to keep a hold of first place in the NL West as they are currently a half-game sharper than the Giants and Dodgers. Fernando Tatis is +420 on the home run prop bet as he searches for his third on the year. Tyler Soderstrom of the A's has better paying odds at +520 and he has 6 knocks on year.

The Yankees-Tigers and the Marlins-Mets have 1:10 starts.

Detroit (7-4) is up 2-0 on the Pinstripes (6-5) with wins of 6-2 and 5-0. The Tigers now go into this game leading the AL Central by a game over the Royals while the Yankees (6-5) are a half-game behind the Blue Jays (7-5) and a half-game clear of the Red Sox (6-6) in the AL East. Today's lowest single-player home run odds go to Aaron Judge (+235). No surprise there> He already has 6 through 11 games, but 3 of those came in the second game of the opening series against the Brewers. Still, he historically averages a home run for every 11.2 at bats.

Miami (5-6) will give Max Meyer the start. The righty enters with a 0-1 record and a 3.09 ERA. The Marlins will be swinging against RHP Tyler Megill for the Mets. Megill is 2-0 with a 0.87 ERA. Otto Lopez (+1000) and Matt Mervis (+830) have two homers each for a Miami team that has 8 total, while Pete Alonso has 3 for a Mets team that only has 9 total.

The Baltimore Orioles are at the Arizona Diamondbacks for a 3:40 p.m. first pitch with Dean Kremer (BALT, 1-1, 6.52 ERA) and Brandon Pfaadt (ARIZ, 1-1, 5.25 ERA) listed as the starting pitchers. Jordan Westburg (+560) and Cedric Mullins (+600) each have 3 home runs for the Orioles, while Eugenio Suarez has 5 for Arizona. The winner of today's game takes the three-game series.
