The top teams in the Ivy, CAA, MEAC, NEC and Pioneer will square off this week as part of the 60-game slate.

The weekly Friday night Ivy League game this week has Dartmouth visiting Princeton with the Congrove Computer Rankings favoring the Big Green by 3.22 points. Dartmouth is looking to stay tied atop the conference, along with Columbia and Harvard who will square-off in Cambridge with the Crimson favored by 8.50 points.

Using the AFCA Coaches' Poll as our guide, there are two games that pit Top 25 teams against each other with No. 3 South Dakota State at No. 23 North Dakota in a MVFC match, and No. 4 UC Davis at No. 7 Montana in a Big Sky clash.

Top-ranked North Dakota State is idle as the Bison get ready to host No. 15 Missouri State next week, and then close out the season at No. 5 South Dakota. NDSU is the only ranked team on a bye week.

Meanwhile, No. 2 Montana State hosts Sacramento State, and South Dakota welcomes Indiana State.

No. 6 SEMO, the Big South-OVC leader, is at Lindenwood, while the Southland leader, UIW, entertains Lamar.

No. 9 Richmond (7-2, 5-0) and No. 10 Rhode Island (8-1, 5-0) are tied for the lead in the CAA as each gets set for conference road games with the Spiders headed to Campbell while the Rams go to Delaware. Richmond moves to the Patriot League next season,

Delaware (7-1, 4-1 CAA) is unranked in the Coaches' Poll because the Blue Hens are not eligible for postseason play as they play their final FCS season before entering the FBS in 2025 as a member of Conference USA. The Congrove Computer Rankings have Delaware at No. 5.

South Carolina State visits Howard in a key MEAC games with the Bulldogs at 6-2 over-all and 2-0 in the conference while the Bison are 4-5 overall, but still in contention for the conference crown with a 1-1 record in league play.

The top two teams in the NEC, Duquesne and Robert Morris, collide in Pittsburgh with the No. 24 Dukes favored by 5.91 points over the unranked Colonials.

Drake (6-1, 5-0) sits atop the Pioneer and currently holds the nation's longest conference winning streak at 16 games. This week, the Bulldogs will go on the road to face a St. Thomas Tommies team that is just a game behind at 4-1 in the conference and 5-4 over-all. Drake is a 5.15-point computer pick in that contest.

FCS vs. FBS

Oklahoma defeated Maine 59-14 in the only FBS-FCS matchup last week.

All games this week are FCS vs. FCS, except for Mercyhurst hosting D2 Lincoln (PA).

FBS schools are 110-6 in FBS-FCS games this season. They are a cumulative 1,910-158 (.924) since we began tracking this in 2003.

In 2024, there were 121 matchups scheduled between FBS and FCS schools with 119 playing one such game, while Hawaii and UMass each play two.

This year, 15 schools were not scheduled to play a FCS opponent. Of those fifteen schools, 5 are in the B1G (Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, USC and UCLA). Texas is the only school in the SEC that will not play a FCS program. The same is true for Virginia Tech in the ACC. In fact, Texas and Virginia Tech, along with Michigan and Houston, are repeats from last year's list of schools that played all FBS programs.

August 24: Montana State 35, New Mexico 31
