The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference released an updated schedule for the spring 2021 football season on Friday, following the decision of North Carolina Central to opt-out of the spring season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The field of teams playing in the spring was has been narrowed to six teams and split into two divisions.
Northern Division: Delaware State, Howard and Morgan State
Southern Division: Norfolk State, North Carolina A&T State and South Carolina State
Each school will face playing each division twice for a total of 4 conference games.
Schools may also schedule non-conference games.
The top team in each division with the best record will square off for the MEAC championship on the campus of the team with the best conference record on April 17. The winner will advance to the NCAA playoffs the following week in Frisco, Texas.
