A jam-packed 64-game slate sees 124 of the 128 FCS teams in action - all on Saturday.
Among the headlining games, South Dakota State moves from one rivalry to another. After capturing the Dakota Marker with a win over North Dakota State this past weekend, the Jackrabbits head to Vermillion to face state rival South Dakota in the South Dakota Showdown series. First played in 1889, the teams have met 115 times and the series remains close with the Coyotes only trailing 53-55-7. The two have not met since 2019 when South Dakota ended a 10-game skid in the series with a 24-21 win, also at Vermillion. They were scheduled to play this past April 5th from Covid issues within the Coyotes' program forced the games' cancellation. The Congrove Computer Rankings have South Dakota State (7-2) ranked 6th and South Dakota (6-3) ranked 28th. Both teams are 4-2 in the MVFC, The Jackrabbits are favored by 8.35.
7trh-ranked UC Davis (8-1, 5-1) hosts No. 8 Eastern Washington (7-2, 4-2) in a Big Sky showdown, while the two teams at the top of the conference - Montana State and Sacramento State - are each 6-0 in league play. The Bobcats, ranked 4th, have a 22.77-point edge at home vs. Idaho, and the No. 16 Hornets are 9.36-point home favorites over Portland State
5th-ranked Kennesaw State is favored by 12.23 over North Alabama in Florence.
Among other top-ranked teams, Sam Houston State hosts Eastern Kentucky as a 20.47-point computer pick, while No. 2 James Madison (8-1, 5-1 CAA) visits William & Mary (6-3, 4-2 CAA) as a 15.66-point favorite.
No. 3 North Dakota State gets a 21.33-point advantage from the computer when the Bison visit Youngstown State as they look to bounce back from last weekend's loss.
