The Coyotes were 45-3 winners at home over Northern State (South Dakota), a Division 2 school, while their state rival and two-time defending FCS Champion Jackrabbits fell 44-20 after FBS stalwart Oklahoma State.
Delaware, which is moving to the FBS next year, moved up from 5th to 2nd. But the Blue Hens are ineligible for the CAA title or the FCS playoffs, even though they are still playing a CAA slate this year. Delaware was the computer's top team in season-ending projections.
Montana, South Dakota State and North Dakota State round out the top five.
