FCS Computer Rankings: Jackson State Clings To Top Spot By 0.09 Points

Jackson State is No. 1 for the fourth time in the last five weeks in the latest edition of the Congrove Computer Rankings at CollegeFootballPoll.com, released after the completion of the weekend's games. But the Tigers' margin over 2nd-ranked Sacramento State has shrunk to a meager 0.09 ratings points as they top the Hornets 60.44 to 60.35.

South Dakota State remains 3rd while idle Incarnate Word trades places with Montana State as the Bobcats take 4th.

Jackson State was 27-13 winner over Alabama A&M in Mobile on Saturday after Sacramento State cruised to a 45-17 win at Portland State on Friday night.

Montana State was a rude visitor to Cal Poly, blasting the Mustangs 72-28.

Holy Cross keeps hold of the No. 6 spot after a 36-29 win at home over Bryant.

North Dakota State crawls from 8th to 7th, though the Bison only manged to eke-out a 21-18 win at Southern Illinois.

Princeton fell from undefeated ranks in its trip to Yale by a 24-20 count, and dropped from 7th to 10th as a result. The 7-2 Bulldogs rose slightly from 22 to 21.

Samford gets a 2-place bump to 8th on the heels of a 35-24 win at Chattanooga. The loss dropped the Mocs from 15th to 26th.

Weber State's 45-7 home win over Idaho State  keeps the Wildcats at No. 9.
