Another win and another week at No.1 for South Dakota State atop the FCS version of the Congrove Computer Rankings at CollegeFootballPoll.com. Idle Montana State is still the top runner-up.
The Jackrabbits were 40-21 winners at Illinois State as they prep for a challenging home game against No. 26 Northern Iowa this week. The Bobcats get Cal Poly at home.
Despite a 28-14 home win over The Citadel, Furman loses the No. 3 spot to North Dakota State which came away with a 38-10 win at Missouri State. Next up for the Bison is a trip to No. 15 North Dakota while the Paladins head to Samford.
Idaho rises 3 spots to 5th after beginning the year at No. 25. The Vandals, who were 42-14 road winners over Cal Poly, head to Montana this week. The Griz rose from 11th to 8th after a 31-23 win at then-No. 25 UC Davis.
Sacramento State rose to 6th during a bye week. The only loss by the Hornets happened two weeks ago at Idaho.
Southern Illinois, which ranked 6th a week ago, plunges to 18th after getting blown out 31-3 at Youngstown State. The Penguins rise from 21 to 12.
Western Carolina is all the way up to 7th after a wild 52-50 win at Chattanooga. Going into that game, the Catamounts were ranked 9th and the Mocs were 10th, but Chattanooga dropped 10 spots with the defeat.
Delaware ranks 9th on the heels of a 43-17 home win over Duquesne.
Incarnate Word closes out the top 10 on the strength of a 33-26 win at home over SE Louisiana.
Four Big Sky teams are ranked among the first 8, and four teams from the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) are among the top 12.
Over-all, 10 conferences have at least one member in the Top 25.
