There are no changes to the 6-team MEAC lineup and no automatic bid to compete for as the champion plays the SWAC champion in the Celebration Bowl.
The conference membership for 2023 continues to be Delaware State, Howard, Morgan State, Norfolk State, North Carolina Central, and South Carolina State.
Last year, North Carolina Central and Howard were co-champions with 4-1 records, but the Bison were left out of the playoff as NC Central won the head-to-head matchup 50-21. The Eagles went on to defeat Deion Sanders' Jackson State team in the Celebration Bowl, 41-34 in overtime, in Sanders' final game with the Tigers as he left to take the head coaching job at Colorado.
It can be difficult to find futures wagering on FCS football, but college football is very popular around the world. In India, for example, Live football betting on 10CRIC has hundreds of markets for most football events, including American football, Major League Soccer, La Liga, Premier League and more.
Delaware State is the only MEAC team that will open the 2023 season with a new head coach after Rod Milstead was fired on November 28. He spent five seasons at the helm with records of 17-33 over-all and 9-30 in the MEAC. His best marks were a pair of 5-6 seasons in 2021 and 2022.
Lee Hull was named as the new man in charge on December 19. Hull had been the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Howard since 2020 when he was hired by the Bisons' incoming head coach, Larry Scott. This is not Hull's first head coaching stint as he held that position at Morgan State in 2014 and 2015, and led the Bears to the first round of the FCS playoffs in his first season. He left that job to coach wide receivers with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts.

All of the conference games will take place between October 21 and November 18. Every MEAC school plays at least 1 FBS opponent. Delaware State, Howard and South Carolina State each play 2 FBS teams.
All but 1 MEAC team faces at least 1 opponent from D2. Morgan State doesn't play any lower division schools, but Delaware State plays two.
