WAC Media Poll Topped By Boise State

SALT LAKE CITY - For the second year in a row, Boise State has been named the favorite in the Western Athletic Conference football media poll. The Broncos were 12-1 last year and finished with a perfect 8-0 mark in conference play. It was their sixth WAC title in the last seven years.
The Broncos received 25 first-place votes from the 45 ballots received. Fresno State took all of the remaining 20 1st-place votes but finished behind Nevada in overall points. The Bulldogs also finished only 5 points ahead of the 4th-place vote recipient, Louisiana Tech.
