Boise, Idaho - San Diego State had no trouble with Buffalo as it cruised to a 49-24 win in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl today in Boise, Idaho.

Aided by turnovers, the Aztecs broke open a close 14-10 ball-game with two touchdown in the final 1:08 of the first half. The Bulls also fumbled on the first play of the second half to lead to another SDSU score. The deficit would stretch to 42-10 before Buffalo managed to break the drought early in the 4th quarter.

Buffalo (8-5) was looking for its bowl win in just its second-ever bowl appearance.

The Aztecs finished the year at 8-5 with their first bowl win since 2010 and improved to 3-6 all-time in bowl games. It was only the 2nd bowl win for San Diego State since 1969.

The Congrove Computer Rankings had given Buffalo a 2.54-point edge.
