(1) - The Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas becomes the Texas Bowl again after Meineke dropped its affiliation.
(2) - The Independence Bowlbecomes the AdvoCare V100 Bowl.

^ - Outback/Cotton Bowl - The Cotton Bowl has the first preference of teams from the SEC Western Division and the Outback Bowl has first preference of teams from the SEC Eastern Division. The Cotton or Outback Bowl can select teams outside of its divisional preference, but must not select them before the opposite bowl selects from its divisional preference.

Bowl-ineligible: Penn State (probation); Georgia State and UTSA (transition seasons from FCS).

BCS Selection Order: The order of selection for this year's BCS games is Fiesta, Sugar, Orange. However, the bowls that lose host conference champions to the BCS title game get to replace those teams before other selections are made.
BCS Selection Procedures.

Notre Dame is eligible for all BCS bowls. Beginning in 2014, Notre Dame will be eligible to be selected for any ACC bowl as long as its overall record is within one of the bowl-eligible ACC schools.

*-Navy will be invited to the Armed Forces Bowl in 2013 and 2016 if it qualifies for selection.

*-Army will be invited to the Poinsettia Bowl in 2013, and the Armed Forces Bowl for 2014 and 2017, if it qulaifies for selection.

*-BYU will be invited to the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl in 2013 if it qualifies for selection.

The GoDaddy.com Bowl gets the first selection of MAC teams in 2013.

Hawaii is automatically invited to the Hawaii Bowl if it has at least 7 wins..

PAYOUTS: Amounts shown do not necessarily reflect what each school receives. The conferences have different methods by which bowl money is divided among its membership. Some bowl agreements call for higher payouts to one conference than the other, depending on such factors as which is the "host" conference. Most of the above payouts are based on actual figures from the Football Bowl Association for the 2012-2013 season, while others are published estimates of anticipated payouts for the current year.
